Young Creatives: Zein Checri
Last term we were lucky enough to sit down with Zein Checri a talented drag queen and musician at Durham University. Throughout this interview we discussed the creative landscape in Durham, focusing especially on the lack of coherent creative outlets which can stifle personal expression.
Speaking on the importance of diversity and authenticity, this interview explores the impact that identity has on individual artistry. Our conversation considered the ways in which intersecting identities are mutually constituting, influencing and heightening individuality.
This interview forms part of series where we converse with young creatives and spotlight their unique voices within Durham University.
