I’ve always been interested in portraying movement through my art, whether the subject be human or architectural. When studying at Central St Martins I became captivated by the idea of dynamism in spaces. Gothic structures particularly gave me the impression of motion through their overlapping arches and dramatic, constantly shifting shadows. Particularly influenced by the Futurist movement, I sought to evoke the same ideas of change and urgency in my work — with abstraction and material experimentation allowing me to push my art.
