I’m a final year Politics and Philosophy student. I’ve always had a passion for art, but it’s only over lockdown that I had the time to re-engage with my love of drawing and painting, and start producing something new. I don’t have any one defined style, as I love doing everything from watercolour sketches when on holiday to sustained pastel/oil portraits. Recently, I’ve been really focusing in on the female form, and experimenting with colour and abstraction. I find life drawing very relaxing and freeing, and – in a time in which our bodies are subject to so much critique and scrutiny – it feels like a radical act of self-love to portray myself and others as purely beautiful, aesthetic pieces of art.
